Today Trenton got a phone call from our wonderful stake president. He will be serving in the Atlanta Georgia North Mission and will be leaving on MONDAY! He will be arriving with a group of "Visa Waiters" (missionaries waiting for their Visas to serve in other countries) from the MTC. He was given the mission office phone number and here are some of the things we found out:
Differing from his mission in Brazil, Trent will need a heavy coat for the biting cold winter weather (freezing cold humidity - brrrrr!). He will also need another suit, as the elders wear their suit coats from October conference to April conference (in Rio they wore them only to Sunday church meetings).
He will need to bring his driving record as he could either be driving or riding a bike (they did neither in Brazil - it was walking and public transportation only). There are approximately 80 companionships in the mission and 40 cars.
So, while Trent is off to the DMV to get his driving record, I am oh so busy looking at the mission website and starting his new blog. It's so nice to have something to DO instead of just waiting.
